By giving back to the community and spreading the word of FIRST, our history of community service, teamwork, and innovative outreach shows great interest. T3 continues to champion leadership by challenging students to think outside the box and expand their engineering toolbox. T3 awards its alumni with scholarships to help them into college and pursure careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Truck Town Thunder, one of the original teams out of Oakland County, continues to strive, pioneer, and change the culture into one that values science and technology.
As a team, Truck Town is innovatively outreaching to our sponsors. We do this through follow ups through the season with our newsletters containing recent events concerning the team. We raise money by cooking turkey legs for the Michigan Renaissance Festival. One main reason why they have come back with us every year is because we are dependable, determined, unstoppable, and use innovative problem solving. We have done this for the past seven years and have secured an excellent relationship with the festival to continue this for years to come.
