Community Activities

Truck Town Thunder particpates in school parades, pep assemblies, and festivals in both the Holly and Brandon Communities. The team hosts and judges a Junior FIRST Lego League competition every year to help spread the name of FIRST to the younger generations. T3 mentors local FIRST Lego League teams in order to spread the love of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The team also helps the community recreation program in hosting a Daddy/Daughter dance at Brandon High School. parade

Operation Good Cheer

For Operation Good Cheer, students volunteered to help load planes with donated gifts during the Christmas season, destined for underprivileged youth and children in foster care. T3 has volunteered multiple times to help further this cause. For more information, take a look at their web site here.

Food Baskets

Every year, students and advisors from the team help to collect non-perishable foods to support the Davisburg Rotary Club’s Christmas food baskets. The students then help to sort out the food and separate it into packages for delivery. For more information, take a look at the Rotary Club’s web site here.

Walk for Warmth

Students volunteered to join the Walk for Warmth in the winter of 2008-09. They collected donations that went towards helping pay for utilities for families in the area.

Relay for Life

In the 2009-2010 season, the team will be volunteering in the Relay for Life. The Relay for Life is a fundraiser and awareness-raiser for the cause of curing cancer, information here.
