Thank You!!!
Truck Town Thunder could not exist if it weren’t for the generous support of our sponsors, mentors, parents and the Brandon School District.
We greatly appreciate your financial support, the time you dedicate for our growth, and for the resources you allow us to use throughout the season.
Pre-Season Update
For the past few weeks, the team has been hard at work cleaning and organizing after our complete move into the Brandon High School metal shop. This year Brandon High School started a woodshop class in some of the team’s old workspace. So we have so we have been preparing our new space for the bustle of activity that will come this competition season.
This year we have had a large influx of new students and are building up the team. New team members have been getting training in CAD, working large machinery such as mills and lathes, and learning all that goes into developing a functioning robot.
Previously the team has cooked turkey legs at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. But this year we have done independent fundraisers.
We invite you to watch what we’ve done this past year on our YouTube channel, located at: http://www.youtube.com/user/TruckTownThunder
This Year's Game: Infinite Recharge!
We are excited to kick off the 2020 competition season, Infinite Recharge, inspired by the renewable sources of energy around us. On January 4th, Truck Town Thunder will gather at the I-TEC Center, located at Brandon Middle School, to take part in the annual FIRST kickoff and game reveal. We will be busy at work creating strategies and robot design ideas to fit the 2020 game. Come join us on January 4th at 10:00 and stay for lunch and see the 2020 game reveal video and see what goes into designing the amazing robots that high schoolers create.
