ALL-COUNTY HONORS

Four team members from the Truck Town Thunder Robotics team received All-County Honors this year while competing in the Oakland County Competitive Robotics Association.

Receiving All-County First Team Honors were Alex Determan (Holly Robotics, Team 43) and Nathan Koenig (Brandon Robotics, Team 25).  Alex Determan plans to attend Michigan Technology University in the fall to study engineering. He has been a member of T3 for two years. Alex has participated in the Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society competition and is a part of the National Technology Honors Society.

Nathan Koenig is a senior at Brandon High School and received First Team All-County honors. This is Nathan’s second year on the Brandon High School Robotics team. Nathan also participates in the Brandon High School Band. Nathan has also shown an interest in Technology and Engineering by participating in the Brandon STEM Pathways Academy as a sophomore. Nathan plans to attend either Lawrence Technological University or Kettering University in the fall on scholarship and plans to further his studies in Engineering.

Receiving honorable mentions were Kristie Haggadone (Brandon Robotics, Team 25) and Tyler McCardell (Holly Robotics, Team 43). Kristie has also shown an interest in engineering by participating in the Brandon STEM Pathways Academy, the Brandon Robotics team. Kristie has been accepted to Kettering University on scholarship to further her studies in Engineering in the fall.

Tyler McCardell plans to attend Michigan Technological University in the fall to study Mechanical Engineering. Tyler has also competed in the Oakland County Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society competition and placed sixth. This was his third year on the Holly Robotics team and second year on the Truck Town Thunder robotics team.
