Imagine Mars Project
Are you ready for fun that is literally out of this world? At the Truck Town Thunder Lego League students will explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math as they journey through the wondrous world of Lego Robotics. Students will have fun while exploring Mars, competing in a Robotic Pentathlon, and inventing their own robots individually and in small groups. Some of the activities students will be engaging in are; The Race, A-Maze-Zing, Battle-Bots, The Dance Off, Rubble Removal, Destination:Imagination, and Curiosity the Rover. A combination of NASA, FIRST Lego League, and Truck Town Thunder’s own curricula makes this dynamic program perfect for the curious students and hard-core robot enthusiasts alike. Using edutainment, a blend of education and entertainment, Students develop life skills and have fun.
Radioactive Rocket
Our problem was it took NASA 7 months to get to Mars. This rocket takes 4 months to get there, but every 2 year alignment it takes the rocket 2 months. The rocket was built to transport Curiosity and 8 astronauts. The 5 engines produce 6,000,000 lbs of thrust each one produces 1,200,000. The capability is 500,000,000 lbs. of weight
It’s made of thin, light, titanium metal and glass. It has a large tank for fuel, a large area for supplies, and a tank for water. The mars trip is long so the rocket is all padded. When the rocket reaches mars, the astronauts ride a lift down while Curiosity parachutes down. When the astronauts reach mars, they go into the domes and rest.
Life Living Dome
People live in the Dome.The problem is you can’t live on Mars because there is nowhere to live. To solve you must build a habitat to live in. The habitat will require an extra layer of medal to protect it from storms. The refrigerator and food storage is in the ground because the ground is cold. In the top you put an air tank for air which will have the air generated by Oxy bombs. To grow a garden you must have a air tube connected for air.
Oxy Bomber
The Oxy Bomber sends pods full of enough air to last a year and two months. This lets the scientists on earth refill and return the pod to Mars with more oxygen. I got the idea from the LORAX movie. It uses vacuum suction to compact the air. The ships are made of steel. The air is made of nitrogen and oxygen.
Food Supplier 3000
My Mars food production is for Mars and how we would live there with food that is easy to get to. There are the air locks that you go in one door it closes than a air tube pumps air into the room and you open the other door. I made my food production in Minecraft. The air comes from an Oxy Bomber that is built to pump air into the rooms that hold the food. There is a room that can hold wheat, pumpkins and watermelon. And a furnace for the room when it is cold. Than a room for chickens, pigs, sheep and cattle. I got this idea from playing on Minecraft building my house. Than I thought of getting the Mars mod so I could build my house.
Flames of True Heat
Guarded by spikes, touching this is the last thing you will ever do. THE FLAMES OF TRUE HEAT. It gives off a ton of heat. OH YEAH! I made a normal fireplace into this. I made this because Mars is cold.
