Lansing Review, A Look to Grand Rapids

FIRST Team 68, Truck Town Thunder, concluded its district season at the Lansing FIRST Robotics Competition at Mason High School in Mason, Michigan this weekend, April 2nd to April 4th. The team finished their district season strongly as they seeded 2nd in the qualification matches. T3 was ecstatic to ally with Team 314, The Megatron Oracles, and Team 1684, Chimeras during the alliance selection process. The alliance then pushed through the quarterfinals and semifinals and made its way to the finals. The finals were some of the closest matches of the entire competition as Truck Town’s alliance only won the first match by five points. Despite how close both alliances were in scores, T3’s alliance emerged successful, winning the competition. Truck Town Thunder also had the opportunity to compete for a variety of awards at the competition. The team also brought home the Underwriters Laboratories, Industrial Safety Award, and the Quality Award sponsored by Motorola.

Truck Town Thunder will next be competing at the FIRST In Michigan District Championship from April 8th to April 11th at the DeltaPlex near Grand Rapids.
Truck Town Thunder is currently ranked 10th in the State and is looking forward to competing to see if the team can qualify for the FIRST Championships in St. Louis.
