Truck Town Thunder Competes at Bedford FIRST Robotics District Competition
On Saturday, April 5, 2014, the Truck Town Thunder Robotics, FIRST Robotics Team 68, competed in their 3rd and final district level competition at Bedford High School in Temperance, MI.
Due to the relentless efforts of the pit crew and the expertise of the drive team, Truck Town Thunder seeded 3rd after the qualification matches. The team made it to the quarterfinals with teams 66, The Flyers, and 2620, the Titans before leaving the competition.
The team was honored during the awards ceremony with the Entrepreneurship award sponsored by Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers. The Entrepreneurship award celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit by recognizing a team that has developed the framework for a comprehensive business plan to scope, manage, and achieve team objectives.
As a result of Truck Town Thunder’s achievements this season, the team will be traveling on April 10, 2014, to Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI, to compete in the Michigan FRC State Championship
